ERS promotes science education, textual and visual literacy, and the arts through stunning photography and engaging writing. With over 20 years of experience in education—K through 12, as well as post-secondary—David FitzSimmons enjoys working with students of all ages. Student-centered classroom sessions include inteactive puppet performances with flying squirrels, bats, opossums, frogs, toads, and more. Children enjoy
shrieking like hawks and calling like frogs, hopping like toads and slithering like snakes. In programs for older grades, students learn about natural history, writing, photography, and visual narratives. Each visit includes pre- and post-visit lesson plans and take-home activities.
